Symbolism of MANDALA.

Mandala : A Sanskrit word that means circle.
Mandala is a square with 4 gates containing a circle with a centre point.
The 4 gates of mandala are :
     1. loving kindness
     2. compassion
     3. sympathy
     4. equanimity
Mandala pattern that represent the cosmos metaphysically or symbolically.





Mandala can be found in the form of Stupa.
Mandala are commonly used by tantric Buddhist as an aid to meditation.

COLOR SYMBOLISM OF THE MANDALA :
     White - Vairocana : The delusion of ignorance becomes the wisdom of reality.
     Yellow - Ratnasambhava : The delusion of pride becomes the wisdom of sameness.
     Red - Amitabha : The delusion of attachment becomes the wisdom of discernment.
     Green - Amoghasiddhi : The delusion of jealously becomes the wisdom of accomplishment.
     Blue - Akshobhya : The delusion of anger becomes the mirror like wisdom.

3 TYPES OF DIETIES :
     1. Peaceful dieties
     2. Wrathful dieties
     3. Sexual imaginery
